What is the Senior Citizens and
Rehabilitation Innovation Application Fund?
The Innovation and Technology Application Fund for Elderly Care and Rehabilitation (hereinafter referred to as the "Elderly Fund") is established by the Hong Kong Social Welfare Department to subsidize eligible elderly care and rehabilitation service providers to purchase, rent, or trial innovative technology products to improve the quality of life for the elderly and disabled service users, while reducing the workload of caregivers and nursing staff.
The application period for the 13th phase of the Fund is from April 13, 2026 to July 13, 2026 at 5 pm. Eligible organizations can apply for subsidies to introduce technology products covering areas such as cognitive training for the elderly, sensory rehabilitation for the elderly and disabled, AI voice care, and aromatherapy health systems.
Who is eligible to apply?
Overview of eligibility for the 13th batch of applications in 2026
Organizations meeting the following conditions are eligible to apply:

Non-governmental and private organizations that provide residential care, community care, and support services for the elderly or disabled, receiving funding from the Social Welfare Department.

Private elderly care homes and residential care homes for the disabled participating in the "Improvement of Purchase Scheme".

Accredited service providers of the "Elderly Community Care Service Voucher Pilot Scheme" and the "Elderly Residential Care Service Voucher Pilot Scheme".

Private or self-financing elderly care homes and residential care homes for the disabled that have obtained licenses from the Social Welfare Department or the Department of Health.
Eligibility reminder:
The service provider must still be receiving funding from the Social Welfare Department on the application deadline (July 13, 2026) to be eligible for this round of applications.

Innovation and technology products funded by the fund should meet the following criteria:
